Black Education Bay Area network is a revolutionary Education Movement that started back in 2019 at Book and Destiny Academy. We began implementing culturally relevant after school programming for students in the fall of 2019. This programming has continued throughout the distance learning due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Our interactions with students made it clear to us that a greater community effort needs to be made to ensure all of our students experience a culturally relevant education. 

 

The power in our community continually resides in our unity. The Black Ed Bay Area network is committed to unifying the Black community of the South Bay to fight for revolutionary change in the existing education systems that serve our youth, as well as build up our own independent education institutions.
